Superseding our Brighton Stripe range, Polperro Rugs feature the same classic stripe design but with a tighter, tougher weave. Made entirely from recycled plastic bottles, each Polperro Stripe Rug is as soft as wool yet stain-resistant, machine washable and very easy to clean.
Made from 100% recycled plastic bottles, moths won't eat them, dust mites won't nest in them and, like all of our products, these stripe rugs are perfect for allergy sufferers.
All our textiles and rugs are hand-loomed, so some variations in colour and size can be expected. If you are ordering a rug for a specific sized area, please contact us before ordering so we can check measurements before sending your order out to you.
Pilling
Please note that we have designed our recycled plastic yarn to offer all the softness of natural wool. As a result, some pilling and sometimes snagging can occur, particularly in softer open weave rugs like these. This makes them best suited to quieter rooms and low traffic areas such as bedrooms and bathrooms. As with all wool products that pill after use, we recommend using a pilling comb or fabric trimmer as and where needed. This will remove the bobbles and freshen up the look of your rug in no time.

- Composition
- Our rugs are made entirely from recycled plastic making them moth and dust mite resistant. Ideal for pet owners and allergy sufferers. Red wine spills are easily washed. Can be machine washed at 30 degrees, emerging beautifully clean and almost dry.
- Maintenance/Wash
- Hoover or shake out loose debris then machine wash at 30 degrees using a non-biological detergent. Larger 240/170cm and 300/250cm rugs will need to be washed in a commercial laundrette.
- Properties
- We have designed our recycled plastic bottle yarn to look and feel like natural wool, some pilling can occur, as can some yarn snagging on our looser weaves.
